Despicable Me 4

Alright, so here’s the scoop: Gru heads to his old baddie school reunion at Licée Pas Bon. And guess who shows up? Maxime Le Mal—he’s not too happy about some prank Gru pulled on him when they were younger.

Before we know it, the Anti-Villain League jumps in and arrests Maxime. But he’s all threatening-like, telling Gru he’s coming for him. The League tells Gru to play it safe and get outta town with his family.

So Gru scoops up Lucy and their kids—Margo, Edith, Agnes, and the new baby, Gru Jr.—and they all move to this quiet spot called Mayflower. Of course, they tag along three Minions—Phil, Ron, and Ralph—because what’s an adventure without those little guys?

In Mayflower, it’s a bit crazy since they need fake names and have to pretend they’re someone else. Their neighbors are all snobby types with a teenage daughter named Poppy who’s trying hard to rope Gru into some kind of heist thing.

Back at the Anti-Villain HQ—five Minions somehow become superheroes. Meanwhile, Maxime is busy cooking up schemes involving cockroaches (gross!) as part of his weird vendetta against Gru.

Oh yeah! Chris Renaud’s doing his director thing again for this fourth Despicable Me movie. There’s another showdown brewing too because a bunch of old baddies show up for a villains’ competition or something like that. Plus there’s some heart stuff going down with baby Gru Jr., ’cause you know—it’s important for Gru to bond with his only biological kiddo amidst all this chaos!
This movie is a wild mix of family drama and mischievous villains. It’s full of laughs and surprises, with relationships getting caught up in all the chaos. Things get messy, but everything eventually falls into place. Beneath the silliness, there are some clever metaphors, hinting at something deeper for future installments—something fans will definitely be excited about.

Every laughing moment is packed with charismatic fun that’s miles away from the norm—a testament to smart writing and wicked humor. You’ll watch as this tale stretches what’s traditionally known and embraces uncommon joy shared among its characters.

It’s about pure storytelling power sprinkled throughout with heartwarming bits that make you smile—characters form real connections amid all the zaniness. The whole thing is wrapped up with perceptive nostalgia yet feels fresh and bursting with charm. Expect an exuberant ride filled with lively interactions that’ll have viewers eagerly coming back for more epic moments!
In *Despicable Me 4*, the Minions totally take the spotlight once again. They’re cracking everyone up non-stop, though Lucy has her share of comedic scenes too.

The soundtrack is a fun blend of new Pharrell Williams tunes and some awesome ’80s hits. The movie wraps up with a fresh take on “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, tying everything together in an entertaining way.

In Italy, Gru has Max Giusti bringing him to life, while in English it’s Steve Carrell. You might spot Stefano Accorsi doing the voice for Maxime, though his unique soft ‘r’ might throw you a little at first. And this time around, Carolina Benvenga takes over from Arisa for Lucy’s voice.
